Yes, and this tool goes further than most. Your PDF is opened and drawn into images by your own browser, which means the document itself is never uploaded to us at all. Only the finished JPG images are sent to our server, and only so that it can package them into a ZIP for you. Those images are deleted automatically within 30 minutes, no account is required, and nobody reads or stores your documents.

Choose High if the image will be printed — it renders at 300 DPI, the standard for printing, and produces roughly 700KB to 2MB per page. Choose Medium for almost everything else: 150 DPI is sharp on any screen and small enough to email or attach to an application form, at roughly 200 to 600KB per page. Choose Low when a portal enforces a tight upload limit; at 96 DPI text stays readable on screen while files stay under a few hundred KB.

Because a single image needs no archive, it is offered as a direct download rather than as a ZIP. This is the usual way to pull one certificate or one mark sheet out of a combined scan.

Yes. Leave the page option on All pages and every page becomes its own JPG. Whenever a conversion produces more than one image you get a ZIP containing all of them, which is one download and one thing to unzip. Every image also has its own download link underneath, so if you only wanted page 7 out of thirty you can still take just that one.

You can upload one PDF of up to 100MB and convert up to 200 pages in a single go. A longer document is still fine to open — you simply pick which pages you want rather than converting all of them, and the tool starts you on Selected pages when it sees one. There is also a 150MB ceiling on the total size of the images produced, which is only reachable by choosing High quality on a long document; if you meet it, switching to Medium or converting in two batches will clear it.

Yes. Each page is rendered exactly as your browser displays it, including text, images, tables, signatures, stamps and form content that has been filled in, then flattened into a JPG at the resolution you chose. Pages with a transparent background are placed on white, because JPG has no transparency and the alternative would turn them black. The one thing that does not survive is anything interactive: text stops being selectable and form fields stop being fillable, because an image is a picture of a page rather than a document.

No. An encrypted PDF cannot be opened without its password, so its pages cannot be drawn. Open the file in your PDF reader, remove the password (usually under Protect or Security settings), save a copy, and upload that copy instead. We check for this the moment you choose a file, so you find out immediately rather than after waiting for a conversion.

Because they store completely different things. A PDF page holding text keeps it as a few kilobytes of characters and font instructions, while a JPG of that same page is millions of individual pixels. Converting a crisp 200KB text document at 300 DPI can easily produce a 1MB image per page, and that is normal rather than a fault. If the size matters more than the resolution, choose Medium or Low — or keep the file as a PDF and shrink it with our PDF Compressor instead.

Read what the portal asks for. Many Indian government and university forms accept only JPG or JPEG for scanned documents, photographs and signatures, and will reject a PDF outright — that is exactly what this tool is for. Others require a PDF and will reject an image just as firmly. If the form accepts either, a PDF is usually the better choice, because its text stays selectable and its file size stays smaller.

Some loss is unavoidable, because JPG is a lossy format — but at the settings offered here it is not something you would notice. High renders at 300 DPI with very light compression and is suitable for printing. The bigger factor is usually the source: a PDF made from a low-resolution phone scan cannot become sharper than the scan it was built from, whatever resolution it is rendered at.
